Step inside the doors and you will see why this is such a magical place!
I always have loved to cook, bake and create! I decided to try something new for my high school graduation reception....pretzel pops! They received rave reviews from my guests and after my uncle suggested I sell them, I decided to locally at farmers markets, craft fairs and special events. In April 2013 I received my Food Prep/Vendor's License and officially began "Promise Pretzels of Maine. I also opened an online Etsy store and began shipping them all over the US and the world. Along the way I received my degree in Culinary Arts Baking and Pastry. I wanted to open a retail shop and when I discovered a beautiful historic bank in downtown Searsport I knew this was the spot! I changed the name of my business to Splendiferous Sweet Shoppe as I have broadened my confectionary creations far beyond my original pretzels. Splendiferous means extraordinary and that is what I strive for in my shop! Since I believe in sharing what we have been given my business helps groups such as Refuge Place International in LIberia and local nonprofit organizations.

Our gourmet hot chocolate drinks and lattes with flavored syrups are a chilly weather favorite! We collaborate with local businesses for items such as coffee from Wicked Joe Organics, ice cream from Morton's Moo, french macarons from Simply Macrons by Jaelin, fudge from Nick's Wicked Tasting Fudge and shortbread cookies from Cookies-To-Go. We have a collection of curated gift items such as magnets, mugs, jewelry from local crafters. For our Alice in Wonderland fans we carry a variety of themed items.

We can custom make over 200 different themed items and even ship most of them anywhere in the US or Canada. We can make favors, artisan candy cake toppers and other treats for your special person of event. We can customize flavors and colors to match your decor. We normally post seasonal items on our Facebook page and can be contacted through that to create your custom order. Even if you don't see exactly what you are dreaming of contact us so we can make that dream a reality! Special orders usually need to be placed at least 3 weeks before delivery especially during holiday times.

St. Patrick's Day Afternoon Tea Party
Sunday March 16th 1 - 3 PM
Join us for a splendiferous Irish theme tea party! We will serve Irish Tea, have Irish Soda Bread, Irish treats along with our sandwiches. Be sure and wear green! Tickets are 29.95 and may be purchased online or by calling us. We do have tickets for 19.95 for children under 12 please contact us for more information.
